This document proclaims the interdependence of civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights that are inherent to every human being. "For more than seven decades, this most important document has contributed to the profound changes in our world. It declared the equality and dignity of all people. It obliges all governments to guarantee to each person the observance of their inalienable rights and freedoms. And this document proclaims the universality of all human rights," the UN Head said. He stressed that, according to the Universal Declaration, we are all equal - regardless of wherever we live, whatever our circumstances or our place in society, our gender or sexual orientation, our race or religion or belief.
